Overview

Are you an experienced and proactive Finance Manager looking for a rewarding role with flexibility and variety? Our client, an established organisation based in Silverstone, is looking for a capable and hands-on Finance Manager to join their close-knit team.


The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running and strategic development of the finance function. You’ll also be responsible for supporting and developing one other member of the finance team, working together to ensure the business operates with clarity, accuracy, and efficiency in its financial processes.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys a blend of operational and strategic finance work and is keen to contribute to a business where your voice is heard and your efforts are truly valued. The company offers flexibility to suit your work-life balance, with the option to work either 30 hours over 4 days or 37.5 hours over 5 days.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business, using Xero
  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial statements, and board reports
  • Assist the Finance Director with strategic financial planning and analysis
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Monitor and maintain company cash flow, ensuring financial health and stability
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring all HMRC compliance is met
  • Support year-end processes, including liaison with external accountants and auditors
  • Provide insight and recommendations to drive financial performance and informed decision-making
  • Supervise and develop one finance team member, ensuring smooth transactional processes

The Candidate

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in a similar finance role, ideally within a small to medium-sized business. You’ll be confident using Xero, highly organised, and able to manage a broad range of responsibilities with a proactive and hands-on approach. The ideal candidate will be detail-focused, commercially aware, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team. You may be AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or qualified by experience, what matters most is your capability and approach.

Remuneration 

  • circa £45,000 per annum depending on experience – pro-rata if 30 hours

  • 33 days holiday, including statutory days
