August marked the 10 year anniversary of Debbie Burbage Recruitment … WOW… and what an amazing journey it has been so far.
When I started the business in 2012, I was nervous to go it alone, share my truth with the world, to be able to recruit in the way that resonated with my soul and do what I felt was in the best interests of our clients and candidates.
25+ Years Experience
I’m so glad I didn’t listen to that inner voice because we have “done it our way” and we have had a positive impact in so many people’s lives, we have helped them with their career and their journey.
During my 25+ years in recruitment, I have worked with people throughout their careers, from assisting them with their first role in accountancy, then each step of the way, working with them as they grow and develop into Financial Controllers and Finance Directors. And then there’s the people I’ve been working with during their careers who then want to take a step back, and eventually retire. I thank you all, for working with me, and allowing me to be on that journey with you.
Not only do we help people professionally, but we also have the opportunity to see them develop as a person with partners, children and all the other wonderful things life can bring. But we were also there to lend an ear when things didn’t go to plan, and life got a little tough.
Working as a Team
My team are amazing, they work in the Debbie Burbage way, have the interests of the clients and candidates at the heart of all they do and understand that we are human, we don’t always get it right but no matter what they do, they do it with integrity, love and good intention.
From finding individuals to lead or strengthen existing teams to creating whole teams for start-ups or company relocations, we work with businesses to recruit the right people for the right role in their organisations. Our success in making these connections has meant we have been able to give back to society, both human and canine through our charitable donations and support of animal rescues to save dogs that would have otherwise been destroyed.
Spreading Positivity
Every day do at least one positive thing for a colleague, friend, family member, neighbour, or stranger, we never know what is going on behind that smile, those eyes, that sadness you sometimes see in people, and your one act of kindness could make all the difference to their day, and their perception of the world.
I would like to thank all our clients and candidates for trusting us and allowing us to demonstrate our abilities. And a big shout out to my Team both past and present, you’ve made the journey interesting, fun and awesome.
Here’s to the next 10 years, I look forward to unveiling the future plans.
