This is a pivotal leadership position within a values-driven and purpose-led organisation. As Finance Director, you will play a key strategic and operational role, ensuring the ongoing financial health and sustainability of the organisation while leading a dedicated finance team. This is a part-time opportunity (circa 3 days per week) with a flexible working pattern. Key Relationships
We are looking for a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or CIPFA) with proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within the not-for-profit or charitable sector. The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of current accounting software and financial management systems across functions such as purchase and sales ledger, payroll, banking, and stock.
Excellent people management and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to evaluate business proposals, assess financial risks, and implement robust control frameworks. You will be highly analytical, strategic, and capable of producing clear, accurate reports and financial presentations.
Strong communication, interpersonal and IT skills are crucial, as is the ability to work collaboratively while also being self-motivated and able to prioritise under pressure. Ideally, you will also bring an understanding of charity-specific reporting standards (SORP) and VAT Cultural Exemption, although this is not essential.

Salary: £70,000 – £72,000 pro-rata per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Minimum of 23 hours per week
