Overview

We are working exclusively with our Northampton based client.  They are actively seeking an experienced Financial Controller to enhance their team. This role presents a unique opportunity to work closely with the Finance Director and make a significant impact in a thriving business environment. Reporting to the Finance Director, duties will include:


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
  • Lead the budgeting process, including setting timelines, reviewing submissions, and consolidating company budgets.
  • Forecast future financial performance and provide insights to management.
  • Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow. Ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and strategic investments.
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and implement necessary changes in financial processes and controls.
  • Implement and monitor cost control measures. Work closely with project teams to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Providing them with necessary financial information and reports.
  • Lead and manage a small finance team. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of the company. Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified professional, holding ACCA, CIMA, or ACA. Remuneration 

Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum, dependant on experience  

Hours: 8.30am to 5pm – Monday to Friday – office based

Holidays: 25 days plus statutory days
