Overview

Our client, a well-established and ambitious business based just north of Kettering, is looking to appoint a Financial Controller to take full ownership of their finance function. This newly created opportunity has arisen due to continued growth, and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the finance strategy, driving efficiencies, and supporting the leadership team in making informed commercial decisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the finance department
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and board reports
  • Managing cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting processes
  • Leading and developing the finance team
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and audit preparation
  • Supporting the leadership team with commercial insight and strategic decision-making
  • Reviewing and improving systems, processes, and controls to drive efficiency

The Candidate

We are seeking a commercially minded finance professional with strong technical knowledge and proven leadership experience.

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE with relevant experience
  • Strong background in management and financial accounting
  • Previous experience of managing and developing a finance team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at senior level
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical skills
  • Proactive and hands-on approach

Remuneration 

  • £50,000 – £55,000 depending on experience
  • 30 am – 5.00 pm – Office-based
  • 33 days, including statutory bank holidays
  • Bonus, pension, parking
