Overview

Debbie Burbage Recruitment is delighted to be working exclusively with an established manufacturing business in Corby to recruit a Finance Manager.

Reporting to the General Manager, this is the number one finance role on site and a key member of the Site Leadership Team. You will play a pivotal role in providing clear financial insight, strong governance and commercial support to help drive performance and future growth.

The Role

You will lead the on site finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls and meaningful financial analysis that supports operational and strategic decision making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts and annual budgets
• Oversee statutory accounts and tax reporting including VAT, Corporation Tax and Intrastat
• Manage cashflow forecasting and working capital
• Oversee stock control and monthly reconciliations
• Monitor debtor and creditor performance
• Provide weekly performance reporting and KPI analysis
• Partner with operational teams to support cost control, productivity and margin improvement
• Maintain strong financial controls and balance sheet integrity
• Lead the implementation of a new accounting system, ensuring a smooth transition and effective adoption across the business
• Lead and develop the finance team

The Candidate

You will be a qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or qualified by experience, with a strong background in manufacturing. You will bring a solid understanding of financial controls, forecasting and commercial analysis, alongside the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders and operational leaders. Experience of implementing or significantly improving accounting systems, would be highly advantageous.

You are proactive, solutions focused and comfortable operating in a fast paced environment where priorities can shift. Most importantly, you will enjoy being hands on, visible within the business and adding real value through clear financial insight and practical support.

Remuneration

Salary: £50,000 – £53,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: 8.30 am – 5 pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30 am to 1 pm Friday  (office-based)

Holidays: 20 days holiday + statutory bank holidays.
