Debbie Burbage Recruitment are working with an established business in Rushden to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with good all round accounts experience who enjoys variety and wants to be part of a friendly, supportive team. You will be involved across the day to day finance function, while also supporting with month end and developing your experience further.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Purchase and sales ledger
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Processing invoices and payments
• Credit control and resolving account queries
• Assisting with month end processes
• Preparing journals, accruals and prepayments
• Supporting VAT returns
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Working closely with colleagues across the business and supporting the wider finance team

The Candidate

You will already have some practical accounts experience and be comfortable working across a range of finance tasks. You will have good attention to detail, be confident using Excel and enjoy being part of a team.

You may be studying towards AAT or another accounting qualification, although experience and the right attitude are equally important.

Remuneration

• Circa £30,000 per annum depending on experience
• Monday to Friday 8.45am – 5.15pm (office based).
• 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
• On site Parking, Company Pension

This role is based in Rushden and is within commutable distance of Wellingborough, Kettering, Northampton, Bedford, Milton Keynes, Corby, Market Harborough, Thrapston and surrounding areas.
