Overview

We have partnered exclusively with a reputable manufacturing company based in Northampton, seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This role offers a chance to engage in a broad range of financial activities and report directly to the Finance Manager.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate matching of purchase invoices with purchase orders, process invoices, and handle related queries.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of weekly payment runs.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Efficient allocation of incoming payments.
  • Carry out aged debtor analysis to monitor and manage accounts receivable.
  • Maintain and update cash flow reports daily.
  • Manage finance-related documentation and perform other administrative duties as required.

The Candidate

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced finance department.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members and external partners.
  • IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel, to manage and analyse financial data.

Remuneration 

  • Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Hours: 9am – 5pm (Monday to Friday)
  • Holidays: 24 days holiday + statutory bank holidays.
  • Other Benefits: AAT study support, pension
