ABOUT ME

I am a commercially focused, FCMA-qualified finance professional with extensive experience supporting complex, multi-entity organisations both in the UK and overseas. I’m known for bringing calm, structured leadership and for combining detailed financial understanding with a strong grasp of wider business priorities. I approach challenges logically, communicate clearly, and naturally bring focus to areas that need attention. I set high expectations for myself and my team, ensuring reliable reporting, sound controls, and well-run finance operations in fast-paced environments.

LOOKING FOR

I am seeking a Financial Controller position where I can modernise finance processes, strengthen reporting, and provide meaningful analysis to senior leaders. I’m particularly interested in roles that allow me to bring order to complexity, develop people, and play an active part in shaping business performance.

IMPORTANT TO ME

I work best in organisations that value openness, responsibility, and a commitment to doing things well. I enjoy environments where I can simplify processes, embed strong controls, and create clarity for stakeholders. Supporting team growth, encouraging continuous improvement, and helping the wider business make confident decisions are all important to me.

INTERESTS

I have a strong interest in making finance functions more effective through technology—from ERP upgrades to BI tools that unlock better insight. I enjoy coaching colleagues, sharing best practice, and contributing to a culture where teams feel supported and able to grow. I also like working closely with leadership teams to help translate data into practical action.

  • Leading and developing finance teams; setting expectations, coaching, and building capability
  • Managing full financial reporting cycles across international, multi-currency groups under UK GAAP/IFRS
  • Producing high-quality board reporting, financial plans, forecasts, and commercial analysis
  • Delivering finance transformation projects, including system rollouts, process redesign, credit control improvements, and strengthening internal controls
  • Strong understanding of ERP/BI systems including Xero, Sage 50, Quicksight, ERP migration projects, and data architecture
  • Commercial and strategic support including modelling, ROI evaluation, contract review, and partnership with operational leads
  • Highly proficient in Excel, with experience designing and delivering training sessions

  • Availability: 3 Months’ notice
  • Salary: Circa £75,000
  • I’m at my best in leadership roles that allow me to influence direction, drive improvement, and work closely with both my team and senior stakeholders—while remaining hands-on enough to stay connected to the detail.
