Overview

We are working with our Northampton-based client to recruit a Part-Time Finance Assistant to join their finance team.

This role will involve supporting the day-to-day administrative processes within the finance function, including Credit Control, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Cash Book administration

We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to become part of this busy and supportive finance team. This is a varied temporary-to-permanent opportunity, ideally suited to someone with previous finance experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively to deadlines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain Credit Control processes to ensure debtors levels are kept to a minimum
  • Process of daily Sales Ledgers functions and Process of daily Purchase ledger activity
  • Process monthly International Trade Invoicing run
  • Process monthly Invoices / Credit Notes
  • Maintain excel spreadsheets
  • Post cashbook activity daily
  • Process refund requests
  • Assist when required with processing of the monthly Direct debt collections and monthly supplier Payment runs

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have previous experience gained as a Finance Assistant or Purchase Ledger Assistant and will demonstrate strong attention to detail with the ability to manage tasks accurately and efficiently. They will be organised and reliable, with a proactive approach to their work and the confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues across different departments.


Remuneration

  • £27,000 pro rata
  • 22.5 hours per week
  • Office-based role
  • 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays pro rata
  • Pension scheme and onsite parking

The role is based in Northampton and within commutable distance of Wellingborough, Kettering, and Daventry
