Debbie Burbage Recruitment are delighted to be working with an established independent accountancy practice in Northampton that is looking to recruit an experienced Part-Time Tax Accountant to join their friendly and supportive team.

The Role

The role is office based initially, with the possibility of one day per week working from home following successful completion of probation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and submission of personal tax returns for a varied client portfolio, ensuring compliance with HMRC deadlines and regulations
• Preparation of corporation tax returns for limited companies, including reviewing financial information and identifying any relevant tax reliefs or liabilities
• Managing and submitting 60 day Capital Gains Tax returns relating to UK residential property sales, ensuring accurate calculations and timely submissions
• Providing support and guidance in relation to inheritance tax matters, including assisting with estate reporting and compliance requirements
• Calculating and advising on capital gains tax liabilities, including disposals of property, investments and other chargeable assets
• Preparation and submission of P11Ds, ensuring accurate reporting of employee benefits and expenses in line with HMRC requirements

The Candidate

We are ideally looking for someone who is ATT qualified with a minimum of 5 years practice experience and a strong technical understanding across a variety of tax matters.

The successful person will be organised, professional and confident managing their own workload, whilst also enjoying being part of a close knit and personable team.

Remuneration

• £negotiable depending on experience
• 3 days a week

This position is based in Northampton and within commutable distance of Milton Keynes, Towcester and Olney.
