Overview

This is an exciting position, and over time, you will have the opportunity to cover all areas of finance. This role would suit an individual who is driven and passionate about numbers and who wants to carve out a career in finance. You will join an established team of like-minded individuals with an excellent mentor.


Key Responsibilities

  • Reconciling debit & credit card transactions.
  • Reconciliation of cashbook records in the accounting system to the bank statements.
  • Raising of sales invoices for the group companies.
  • Responsible for cash collection and recording in the accounts system.
  • Banking of physical cash takings & cheques at the local bank branch.
  • Management of relationships with customers, including statement issuing and escalation of any unpaid debts.
  • Complete & accurate filing of all documentation as required.
  • Supporting the wider business in operational and customer focused roles.
  • Providing cover where required for other Finance team members.
  • Educating other business teams to ensure compliance with purchase order procedures.
  • To identify areas for improvement in the efficiency & effectiveness of financial processes and to assist in implementing solutions to realise such improvements.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate may be studying AAT, CIMA, or ACCA, have previous experience within a busy accounting department, and be able to handle large volumes of data. Intermediate Excel is essential. They will enjoy working in a busy, fun environment, have excellent written and verbal skills, and be able to liaise at all levels within an organisation.


Remuneration 

Salary: £negotiable per annum (Dependent on experience)

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week – Hybrid working

Holidays: 25 days holiday + statutory bank holidays

Other: Study Support, pension, free parking
