Overview

We are delighted to be working exclusively with our client, a well established and growing business based in Kettering, to recruit a Part Time Credit Controller to join their friendly and supportive finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller who is looking for a part time role offering flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to work within a collaborative and people focused environment.


Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Financial Controller, duties include:

  • Proactively chasing outstanding payments by phone and email, maintaining a professional, firm, and relationship focused approach
  • Actively working to reduce debtor days and improve cash collection performance
  • Resolving invoice, payment, and account queries promptly to prevent delays in payment
  • Allocating incoming payments accurately and keeping customer accounts fully up to date
  • Producing and maintaining aged debtor reports, highlighting risks and trends to the Financial Controller
  • Liaising closely with the Financial Controller to provide updates on debt position and cash flow
  • Maintaining accurate credit control records and ensuring agreed credit terms are adhered to

The Candidate

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a credit control role who is confident, organised, and able to manage their workload independently. You will have a calm and professional approach, strong communication skills, and a positive, solutions focused mindset.


Remuneration 

  • £28,000 – £30,000 Pro-rata depending on experience
  • Hours and flexibility – This is a part-time, office-based role, working approximately 4 to 5 hours per day. Start and finish times are flexible and can be agreed to suit both the successful candidate and the business.
  • 20 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays + birthday day off
