Overview
We are proud to be working exclusively with our client, a well-established and expanding business headquartered in Wellingborough, to recruit a Finance Director. This senior appointment will take overall responsibility for the company’s Irish subsidiary, providing strategic and operational financial leadership to ensure continued growth and success.
This is a pivotal role for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives on taking ownership, influencing at board level, and shaping the financial future of a business with international reach.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing strategic financial leadership across the group, with a specific focus on the Irish entity
- Leading on statutory and management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for Ireland
- Overseeing cash flow management, funding, and capital investment planning
- Ensuring full compliance with Irish accounting standards, tax, and legal requirements
- Partnering with the board and senior leadership team to drive business performance and long-term strategy
- Leading and developing the finance team, instilling best practice across both UK and Irish operations
- Reviewing and improving financial systems, processes, and controls to support sustainable growth
The Candidate
We are seeking an experienced and confident finance leader who can balance strong technical knowledge with commercial acumen.
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with proven post-qualification experience at senior level
- Track record of success in a Finance Director, Financial Controller, or senior finance leadership role
- Experience of international operations, including Ireland, is highly advantageous
- Strong knowledge of statutory accounting and compliance
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Strategic, hands-on, and commercially minded approach
Remuneration
- Competitive salary plus bonus (depending on experience)
