About UnityMK
UnityMK is a dynamic and compassionate charity based in the heart of Milton Keynes, dedicated to ending homelessness and supporting people facing housing insecurity. Formerly known as Winter Night Shelter MK, the organisation has evolved from providing emergency winter accommodation into a year-round welfare and support service that’s changing lives every day.
At the core of UnityMK’s work is a deep belief in the potential of every person. Their mission goes far beyond shelter, it’s about walking alongside individuals as they rebuild their lives. From their base at Unity Park Station (the former bus station), the team offers daily access to hot meals, showers, laundry facilities, clothing supplies, food parcels, and one-to-one support. They help people navigate everything from finding safe accommodation and accessing benefits to improving mental health, securing employment, and reconnecting with their community.
Behind the scenes, a dedicated and professional team works alongside hundreds of volunteers and community partners to deliver practical help and genuine hope. UnityMK is constantly evolving to meet the needs of those it serves, driven by a culture of kindness, integrity, and resilience. The charity recently underwent a rebrand to better reflect its expanded impact and ensure those at risk of homelessness feel seen and supported before reaching crisis point.
Working with UnityMK is more than just a job. It’s an opportunity to be part of a team that believes in people and acts with purpose. Every role within the organisation plays a vital part in creating a place where lives are changed and futures are reclaimed.
