The Role

  • Innovate and Implement: Lead the charge in identifying and correcting inefficiencies within our financial procedures, aiming to streamline operations for peak efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Set Standards: Develop, implement, and oversee protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy across all financial operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular assessments against industry best practices, updating our processes to stay compliant and cutting-edge.
  • Educate and Empower: Create and roll out training programs that equip our team with the knowledge and skills for exceptional performance.
  • Be the Beacon: Maintain up-to-date knowledge on financial regulations and standards, guiding our team and keeping us ahead of the curve.

The Candidate

  • A qualified finance professional (ACMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent experience) with a solid track record in leadership, ideally within a mid-sized organisation.
  • A proactive problem-solver, ready to identify improvements and drive change.
  • An outstanding communicator, adept at delivering training across skill levels and fostering effective collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills and a strong commercial awareness.
  • Tech-savvy, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.

Remuneration

  • Salary: £competitive – depending on experience
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Holidays: 23 days plus statutory days (option to buy and sell holidays)

The role is based in Kettering and within commutable distance of Wellingborough, Rushden, Corby, Northampton, Market Harborough and Oundle.
