The Role
- Innovate and Implement: Lead the charge in identifying and correcting inefficiencies within our financial procedures, aiming to streamline operations for peak efficiency and effectiveness.
- Set Standards: Develop, implement, and oversee protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy across all financial operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular assessments against industry best practices, updating our processes to stay compliant and cutting-edge.
- Educate and Empower: Create and roll out training programs that equip our team with the knowledge and skills for exceptional performance.
- Be the Beacon: Maintain up-to-date knowledge on financial regulations and standards, guiding our team and keeping us ahead of the curve.
- Foster Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to deeply understand their financial needs, ensuring our strategies align with overall business goals.
The Candidate
- A qualified finance professional (ACMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent experience) with a solid track record in leadership, ideally within a mid-sized organisation.
- A proactive problem-solver, ready to identify improvements and drive change.
- An outstanding communicator, adept at delivering training across skill levels and fostering effective collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills and a strong commercial awareness.
- Tech-savvy, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.

Remuneration
- Salary: £competitive – depending on experience
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Holidays: 23 days plus statutory days (option to buy and sell holidays)

The role is based in Kettering and within commutable distance of Wellingborough, Rushden, Corby, Northampton, Market Harborough and Oundle.
