Overview

We are currently partnering exclusively with our client based in Northampton, who is actively seeking a Junior Project Manager to join their team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role within our project management team, where you’ll be involved in various aspects of project planning, execution, and monitoring, all geared towards ensuring successful project delivery within established scope, timeframes, and budget constraints. This opportunity is tailored for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual with a strong desire for personal and professional growth in the realm of project management. Working under the guidance of our Operations Manager, you will contribute significantly to project success by helping to strategize and allocate project resources, closely track progress, and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.


Responsibilities and Duties

Project Planning:

  • Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Collaborate with other teams within the business to gather project requirements.
  • Contribute to the creation of project documentation.

Project Execution:

  • Work closely with team members to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Monitor project progress and identify and address issues or risks.
  • Manage project deliverables and resource allocation to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment with project goals.

Communication:

  • Facilitate regular project status meetings and provide updates to project stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure everyone is aware of project objectives, timelines, and potential issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports and documentation.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess potential risks and issues.
  • Collaborate with the operations manager to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Quality Assurance:

  • Assist in the implementation of quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet established standards.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a junior project manager, demonstrating a strong foundation in project management. Additionally, they should exhibit exceptional organisational and time management skills to effectively handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. A positive and upbeat attitude is crucial to foster a collaborative team environment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate smooth interactions with colleagues and clients. Proficiency in the Microsoft suite, including tools like Excel, is expected, along with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. An eagerness to learn and tackle new challenges is highly valued in this role.

Desirable qualifications for the candidate include the ability to negotiate with clients, enhancing client relationships and project outcomes. Familiarity with project management software tools, such as Microsoft Excel and SmartSheet or other relevant applications, is a plus, indicating adaptability and tech-savviness. Moreover, working towards certifications like Six Sigma or PRINCE2 demonstrates a commitment to advancing project management skills and staying up-to-date with industry best practices.


Remuneration

  • Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per year (depending on experience)
  • Car Allowance – £5,100 per annum
  • Working Monday to Friday 9am – 5:30pm (hybrid work/flexible hours)
