Overview

Debbie Burbage Recruitment is currently seeking a Finance Director for our esteemed client based in Corby. This senior-level position offers an exceptional opportunity for a finance professional to play a pivotal role in the strategic direction and growth of the business, working closely alongside the Managing Director.


Key Responsibilities

As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and guiding the financial strategy of the company. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing financial strategy, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting.
  • High-level financial reporting and analysis.
  • Working closely with the Managing Director to optimise the company’s financial performance and strategic position.
  • Managing, coaching, and developing a team of 5 accounting staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Developing financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk.
  • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role should be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), boasting several years of post-qualification experience, underscoring their depth of financial knowledge and capability. They should have a proven track record in a similar senior financial managerial position, demonstrating their ability to lead and make significant contributions at a high level. Strong leadership skills are essential, as the role requires managing a team of five accounting staff, guiding them towards achieving departmental and company-wide goals. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are critical, as the position involves working closely with senior management to shape financial strategy and direction. The candidate should possess strong analytical and decision-making skills, essential for navigating complex financial landscapes and making informed decisions. Additionally, they should have a proven proficiency in managing finance systems and budgets, ensuring the company’s financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Remuneration

  • Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 per annum – depending on experience
  • Hours: 8.00am – 5.00pm
  • Holidays: 25 days holiday plus statutory days
