Overview

Debbie Burbage Recruitment is excited to be working exclusively with our client located between Northampton and Daventry, in their search for an experienced Financial Controller. This role will play a critical part in supporting the General Manager, ensuring the smooth running of the company’s financial operations and contributing to the overall strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing the entire finance function, including management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
• Providing financial insights and strategic advice to the General Manager
• Managing cash flow, financial reporting, and cost control
• Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies
• Leading the finance team and supporting their professional development
• Preparing financial statements and liaising with external auditors

The Candidate

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller with significant experience in leading a finance function. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, excellent commercial acumen, and the ability to influence and support the General Manager with key financial decisions. You will be confident in managing a team, working under pressure, and driving continuous improvement within the finance department. Proficiency in Sage and advanced Excel skills are essential.

Remuneration 

• Salary £50,000 – £55,000 per annum depending on experience
• Hours of work 8.00 am – 5.00 pm – Office based
• 23 days holiday + statutory bank holidays
• Pension, On-site parking
