They are looking for a strategic and commercially driven Finance Director. Based in Milton Keynes, this is a critical senior leadership role, offering an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished finance professional to join an ambitious business at a pivotal time in its growth journey.

As Finance Director, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for shaping the financial strategy, ensuring robust financial governance, and driving the company’s financial performance. You will play an instrumental role in providing commercial insights and financial direction to support the company’s continued expansion and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and executing the company’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives
• Leading all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
• Providing strategic financial guidance to the CEO and leadership team to drive business growth and profitability
• Overseeing financial planning and analysis, identifying risks and opportunities, and influencing decision-making
• Managing and mentoring the finance team of 7, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial information
• Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax and audit processes
• Engaging with external stakeholders, including banks, investors, and auditors, to support the company’s financial needs and objectives

The Candidate

 The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute Finance Director with extensive experience in FMCG or similarly fast-paced industries. You should have a strong track record of leading financial strategy in a busy, high-growth environment, demonstrating the ability to drive efficiency, profitability, and long-term success. You will possess exceptional communication and influencing skills, combined with the ability to translate complex financial insights into actionable business strategies. A hands-on leader, you will be confident managing both strategic and operational aspects of the finance function.

You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience in senior finance leadership roles. Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills are essential, alongside a high level of analytical capability. Experience in mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, and managing relationships with external stakeholders is highly desirable. Above all, you will have a passion for building high-performing teams and contributing to the overall business strategy.

Remuneration 

• Salary £80,000 – £95,000 per annum depending on experience
• Hours of work 8.30 am – 5.00 pm – Office based
• 25 days holiday + statutory bank holidays
• Bonus up to 20%, Pension, Death in Service, BUPA
