Are you an experienced Company Accountant, Financial Controller, or Finance Manager with a background in manufacturing or Construction? Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions and collaborate with the wider business. Your duties will include:

• Supervising one staff member
• Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts
• Processing sales and purchase invoices as needed
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Forecasting cash flow
• Processing weekly and monthly payroll using Sage
• Preparing and submitting VAT and CIS returns
• Liaising with auditors for year-end processes
• Handling ad hoc duties as required

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working within an SME in a hands-on role, preferably within the manufacturing or construction sectors. They should be proficient with computer systems, with Sage 50 and Sage Payroll experience being advantageous but not essential.

Remuneration 

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on experience  

Hours: 40 per week – Office based

Holidays: 25 days plus statutory days  

Pension: In line with auto-enrolment
