Are you looking to settle within a business that has a high staff retention rate?  Our Milton Keynes client is looking for a good all-round accountant to take responsibility for one of the smaller companies within the group.  This is a hands-on role that reports to the Financial Controller, duties include:

  • Multi-currently bank reconciliations
  • Processing purchase invoices, including payments runs and resolving queries
  • Sales ledger administration
  • Preparation and posting of accruals journals
  • Reconciliation of inter-company transactions
  • Preparation and submission of VAT Returns including Intrastat
  • Month end reporting
  • Liaising with auditors
  • Supporting the Financial Controller as required

The ideal candidate will have held a similar position previously, have a “hands-on approach” and want to be part of a small friendly finance team.  They will have good systems skills including Excel, excellent communications skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.

Location: Hybrid office/home working

Holidays: 24 days plus statutory days

This position is based in Milton Keynes and commutable from Northampton, Towcester, Leighton Buzzard, Houghton Regis, Dunstable, Bedford and Luton
